About Station Rotation
Station Rotation is a blended learning approach in which students move through a set of learning stations within a single course or subject. Small groups rotate between different activities, and to qualify as blended learning, at least one of these stations must involve an online, computer-based experience. The remaining stations often feature teacher led instruction, independent work, or collaborative, student-driven tasks. These activities may incorporate technology or take place entirely offline in the classroom environment.
Key Components
-
Teacher-Led Station: Direct instruction, guided practice, or targeted support.
-

-
Collaborative/Independent Station: Peer discussions, group projects, or independent work that reinforces skills and fosters problem-solving.
-
Flexible Design: Stations may include technology rich tasks or offline classroom activities, depending on instructional goals.

Why it Matters
-
Equity: Ensures all students have access to differentiated instruction and varied learning modalities.
-
